Did you know that you can not eat solid food for 24 hours? However, your body may fail if you spend a day without drinking.

Surely you have noticed more weakness on a summer afternoon than on a rainy day. If you do not get used to drinking water and you suddenly leave on a sunny afternoon, do you know what might happen to you?

You could face dehydration, begin to sweat the little liquid in your body and start to feel faint.

This situation can have effects on health. Luckily, daily dehydration is mild and is not usually a serious health problem .

Usually, you only need a good glass of water in time, or even a moisturizing snack, such as watermelon or cucumber, to reverse the damage.

However, if you let the dehydration advance, you will face some health problems:

There is a type of dehydration that is very severe. It is the strongest and can cause a malfunction throughout your body . It depends on how much water you start to lose from your daily activities.

The total amount of water in a woman’s body can be 38 to 45 liters, and for a man, 42 to 48 liters . However, not drinking enough water can cause serious problems and physical imbalances.

Now what you have to do is know how to determine it. If you are the one who used to exercise, here is this advice: you must weigh a couple of times. Do it before and after running.

This way you will know your level of sweating. Take into account the following:

  • If you lost between 1 and 2% of your body weight, you are slightly dehydrated . It’s okay, you’re fine. Just remember to drink water to solve the fault.
  • If you lose between 2 and 4% of your weight, you are moderately dehydrated and some organs may start to fail.
  • If you lost 5% or more, you should start worrying: you should never lose 11% of your weight. This is already a sign of serious dehydration and your kidneys  may begin to fail.

Your body generates heat with any movement you make, however small it may be. However, our central temperatures are maintained thanks to hydration.

When you are dehydrated, you do not have enough water inside you. If you sweat you could lose what little you have left to help your cooling mechanism.

The heat gets trapped in your body because it can not evaporate and the temperature keeps increasing.

The moment you feel your temperature is high, try to consume fresh water. It is advisable to avoid completely cold water because it creates a shock of temperatures.

3. You stop sweating

As long as your body is not hydrated enough, it will not have much to expel through the pores. If you exercise, there will be a time when you do not expel any sweat. Although the sweat is not very pleasant, it is not good to stop sweating.

When you do not have enough fluid to make up for the sweat, blood pumps to your muscles. This is where some regular processes close in your body.

Sweat is used to:

  • Your skin will cool.
  • Toxins are expelled.

4. Your heart has to work over the account

Do you know what is one of the largest reservoirs in our body? The blood. This is strongly affected when you begin to dehydrate .

The volume of blood decreases, but the heart has to pump the same amount through your body.

5. Your urine will be transparent and with adequate frequency

  • Consume 2 liters of water daily . At this point there should be no pretext nor should be spared. This amount is recommended to keep you well hydrated and smooth.

If you live in a very hot place you can increase the amount a little, but do not exceed 3 liters per day.

  • Eat fruits and vegetables rich in water ( lime, watermelon, pineapple, cucumber, peppers, green leafy vegetables, etc.).

All these foods  give you a good amount of water and help to solve any small lack you have at the moment.

In addition, they are better than energizing drinks full of sugar.
