The lungs are an essential part of the respiratory system. The air that enters through the nose or mouth travels through the trachea until it reaches each of the bronchi and finally lodges in the lungs.

  • Therefore, when you aspire, these organs are filled with air. In this way we get oxygen.
  • When this air is released, we produce what we know as carbon dioxide.

But how does cancer occur ? Everything starts in the cells that are in the tissues and organs of the body, in this case the lungs.

The cells divide to form new cells. When they are damaged or aged, they are replaced by others.

However, sometimes this process is uncontrolled, that is, there is an excess of cell renewal. Therefore, tumors are formed.

Non-small cell lung cancer is the most common type.
